No more wasted paper
Six cover designs to suit any hero
Reusable character sheet
The compact 5E character sheet inside the front cover is coated with a 1.5mil polypropylene laminate that works with wet- or dry-erase markers. Write and erase your hit points, spell slots, and ability modifiers over and over as you level up and your hero's story grows. Inside the back cover, you'll find a blank reusable section for notes and maps. No more tattered old character sheets or endless copies for every level.
5E rules & references
Everything you need at the table is inside: gameplay rules, character creation, races, classes, equipment, combat, spellcasting, spell lists, and more, all sourced from the 5th Edition System Reference Document. Quick references at the front and back of the book provide easy access to the most commonly needed rules. Simplify your game by combining your character sheet, notes, and rulebook into one beautiful package.
A home for your hero
Packed with beautiful original art, the HeroBook is fit for a hero outside and in. The unique 4-in-1 note paper combines lines for notes, grids and isometric dots for maps, and blank pages for sketching. A permanent tracker inside lets you log stats for six characters, pets, familiars or NPCs. With time, use, and customization, your HeroBook grows into an artifact of your character's adventures - and should they ever face defeat, it becomes a cherished relic of memorable moments.
High-quality, sustainable materials
A heavy 130lb cover stock keeps your character sheet in pristine shape, and 70lb acid-free satin paper inside provides an excellent bleed-free writing surface that preserves your notes and drawings for eons. The exposed Smyth sewn binding is strong but flexible, so the book opens fully and lays flat on every page. Best of all, it's made of 100% FSC® certified (FSC® C014956) post-consumer recycled and sustainably sourced paper, and printed in a carbon-neutral facility right here in our hometown of Vancouver, Canada.

Frequently Asked Questions
HeroBook is bound using a technique called Smyth sewing, where the folded paper signatures are sewn together with thread. This is most commonly used for heavy-duty, library-quality applications like textbooks and bibles. Other than a thin layer of glue, the spine is left exposed for maximum flexibility, allowing the book to open all the way and lay completely flat on every page - very useful when referencing rules or notes at the table. Despite the raw look, it's very strong and will hold up to heavy use over a long period of time.
Nope! All content in the HeroBook has been sourced from the 5th Edition System Reference Document, a comprehensive version of the 5E ruleset published under the Open Game License. This includes most of what's in the Player's Handbook. For anything we can't include for copyright reasons, such as additional races, classes, and backgrounds, the book includes page references to the official source material wherever possible.
Yes! We tested a variety of different surfaces to find the optimal surface for both wet- and dry-erase pens. The 1.5mil polypropylene laminate takes non-permanent ink well and wipes clean months after being written. For continued performance of the reusable surfaces, we recommend pressing lightly when writing and using only non-permanent wet- or dry-erase pens. To clean, wipe gently with a soft cloth and a very small amount of moisture only if necessary.
Your HeroBook contains two reusable surfaces: one inside the front cover, and one inside the back cover. The rest of the pages inside your HeroBook are high-quality post-consumer recycled satin finish paper without the polypropylene laminate - these take ink well and do not bleed, but are not reusable.
Because the two sides of the folded cover do not shift much with respect to each other, you will not experience much lateral smudging of dry erase ink when the book is closed. If the closed book has weight on top of it for an extended period, you will occasionally get a little bit of transfer of dry erase ink over to the other side of the sheet. Wet erase ink will not smudge whatsoever unless moisture is introduced.
There is one reusable character sheet in your HeroBook, in the inside front cover, but we've included a permanent stat tracker inside the book with space for up to six characters, companions, familiars, monsters, or NPCs.
We're working on it! Stay tuned!
